How to find words from a seven-letter hive
Enter all seven different letters, then enter the required center letter in its own field. Include that letter among the seven as well. Choose Find candidates to search words of four to fifteen letters. The center letter must appear at least once; its position in the word does not matter.
Unlike a tile-rack anagram, this search lets you reuse any permitted letter as often as a word needs. A single T in the letter set can supply all three Ts in TATTERS. Every letter of a candidate must come from your seven, and every candidate must contain the center. Use the anagram solver when each tile should be used only once.
A pangram uses all seven different letters at least once. It may be longer than seven letters because letters can repeat. Choose Only pangrams to see those candidates, or select a length to narrow the list. Both controls filter the completed result locally; they do not change your letters.
Our candidates come from the bundled general American English ESDB 2026.02.25 spelling list. It includes uncommon words and inflections and is not the official game dictionary. Questions about seven-letter word puzzles
Can I use a letter more than once?
Yes. Each letter in your seven-letter set can repeat without a tile limit. TATTERS is possible with A E L O R S T and required T even though T appears only once in the input.
Does every word need all seven letters?
No. Each word needs the required center letter and at least four letters in total. Only a pangram needs every one of the seven different letters. A pangram may repeat letters too.
Why does a candidate fail in my game?
Games use their own curated dictionaries and rules. Our general American English spelling list can include a spelling or inflection your game rejects, and it can miss accepted answers. These are candidates to check, not an official answer list.
Can I share the same letters with a friend?
After a completed search, Copy letters link puts the seven letters and required center into a URL fragment. Anyone receiving the link can read those letters. Opening it fills the fields without automatically searching. Length and pangram display filters are not included.
