How to solve anagrams with all your letters.

This anagram solver finds single words in the bundled American English list. Use all letters starts selected here: each typed letter and each ? blank must fill exactly one position. Repeated letters remain separate copies; an anagram cannot borrow an extra letter.

Try T E A. The selected dictionary returns ATE, EAT, ETA, and TEA. AT is left out because it uses only two letters. Clear Use all letters if you also want shorter words from the same rack.

Add up to two ? blanks when a letter can vary. One blank can replace one missing letter, never two. Starts with and ends with help when part of the arrangement is already decided.

    Rearrange all six letters

Every letter in LISTEN appears exactly once in each six-letter anagram.

    L I S T E N · use all letters → LISTEN, SILENT, ENLIST

Keep repeated letters in an anagram

TEACHER contains two Es. CHEATER and HECTARE use the same seven-letter inventory.

    T E A C H E R · use all letters → TEACHER, CHEATER, HECTARE

    Narrow anagrams by their ending

Use every letter in TEA, then keep only arrangements ending in A.

    T E A · use all letters · ends with A → TEA, ETA

    Questions about this search

Can this solve phrase or name anagrams?

It searches single dictionary words of 2–15 letters. Spaces in your input are ignored; they do not divide a phrase into separate output words. It does not build multiword phrases or preserve names as a separate vocabulary.

Why are shorter words missing from anagram results?

Use all letters requires every typed letter and blank, so TEA can produce ATE but not AT. Clear that checkbox, or use the main word finder, when you want shorter words from the same rack.

How can I recover when an anagram has no matches?

Check each repeated letter and remove an uncertain starting or ending filter. Replace one uncertain letter with ? when appropriate; up to two blanks are supported. A valid rearrangement can still be missing from the spelling list, which does not guarantee game acceptance.
