    Find six-letter words from a rack or known positions.

    A six-letter pattern has six positions, even when you only know a few of them. Paste L_T_E_ to place L first, T third, and E fifth; leave the other three positions open.

    Include EE to require two Es in the whole word, and exclude A. LETTER fits. The E already placed in position 5 counts as one of the two, so only one more E is required.

    Use the included field for letters whose positions are still uncertain. Type a letter twice only when you need two copies. Adding an excluded letter that is already known or required creates a conflict you can fix before searching.

    Can I make six-letter words from more than six available letters?

    Yes. Choose Letters to words and enter a rack of up to 15 letters. Matches use exactly six available letters on this page. Leave Use all letters unchecked when your rack is longer than six; selecting it would require an incompatible length.

    How do two required Es interact with a known E?

    Include EE means at least two Es in the whole six-letter word. A known E already in a numbered box counts as one; the engine then needs at least one more. Include letters does not require an ordered “EE” substring.

    Why is an apparently valid six-letter word absent?

    Check the positions, excluded letters and repeated-letter counts. Clear an uncertain clue and search again. The general American English list is not a complete vocabulary or an official game dictionary, and this finder does not rank words by how commonly they are used.
